Question |
Why SYS-5028D-TN4TY shows “IKVM doesn’t support add-on VGA device” message? |
|
Answer |
SYS-5028D-TN4TY has IPMI video console redirection iKVM function via onboard VGA. If your BIOS video priority primary set to onboard video, iKVM will work via onboard VGA. If your BIOS video priority primary set to off-board video (external graphic card), iKVM function will not work. And you will see the message.
To change from Off-board VGA back to On-board VGA: If you are using GPU display with VGA Priority set to Off-board VGA, you may try connect monitor to motherboard On-board VGA port, power up system, you will see POST video and thus you can enter BIOS setup to reset VGA Priority to On-board VGA. Or one may clear CMOS to reset Priority VGA back to default On-board VGA.
